In this family-run company everything has revolved around the welfare of the horse and riders for decades. The Reiter stables and stud farm is situated three kilometres north-west of the idyllic district capital Neulengbach and therefore just 16 kilometres away from Schloss THALHEIM. So you don't have to worry about travelling long distances from our hotel for your excursion on horseback. A short car trip and you can switch off during a ride through the slightly hilly landscape and recover from the hustle and bustle and everyday stress. Thanks to the facilities with a panorama riding hall, its own riding arena with floodlights and the unique outside area you can practise equestrian sport under any weather condition.

Schloss Wasserburg stables

Just five kilometres from Schloss THALHEIM hotel is another historical building that warmly welcomes you as a trail rider during your riding holiday. The historical stables are located in the Maierhof (the steward's estate) of the moated castle tucked away near Pottenbrunn close to St. Pölten. An ancestors of the family who owns the castle today left their former home in England to breed horses on the estate - today the fourth generation of the family lives in the castle. The wonderful location and magical nature around Castle Wasserburg has a very special charm that will captivate you too.

St. Pölten Riding Club – Wagram

Regardless of whether you're a horse fan or passionate rider: not even ten kilometres away from Schloss THALHEIM you have the opportunity to perfect your riding skills or finally start horse riding at the St. Pölten Riding Club – Wagram during your holiday or weekend break. For already 50 years, everything has been offered here: lessons for beginners as well as advanced riders and horse jumpers. The riding training is tailored to the individual rider or student. Beginners receive lunge lessons where besides the rider's seat and posture they are also trained how to handle, saddle and bridle the horse. Advanced riders have the option of mastering licence examinations and taking part in tournaments on school horses. At St. Pölten RC you can conveniently arrange private lessons for dressage and horse jumping from Schloss THALHEIM and children's vaulting is also on the programme.
